How To 10x Your Life & Business By Learning 1 Thing
Aug 30, 2024How many times have you learned something that’s changed your life?
You probably hear a few bits of information every year that have such an impact.
Whether it’s a copywriting technique, a way to optimise your focus, a funnel structure or a way to increase customer LTV.
But let’s face it, you learn things every day.
There’s not a single day that goes by without you learning something new, but yet, very few of the things you learn make a difference to your life.
Why?
Why can you learn and learn and learn but see no tangible improvements thanks to that newly found knowledge?
Well, what you have to understand is that every bit of knowledge and experience you have in life adds up to create your paradigm.
Your paradigm is the lens through which you view the world, and it’s made up of all your beliefs about both yourself and the world - which are formed through your experiences in life and the knowledge you gather.
Through this paradigm is how you decide to take action.
You decide to build your funnel this certain way because of the beliefs you have about how funnels should be built because of your experiences and the knowledge you’ve gathered - whether it’s correct or not.
You decide to work with your phone either beside you or not, because of the beliefs you have about how your phone impacts your focus because of your experiences and the knowledge you’ve gathered - whether it’s correct or not.
And so each bit of knowledge you learn and each experience you have gets added to this paradigm, shaping your beliefs about the world.
But here’s the problem…
Helpful, positive knowledge and experiences will typically only make a small dent in your paradigm and create a small change in your actions and reality.
The reason this happens is because of negativity bias.
Humans are hard-wired for survival and as such, we have a massive negativity bias so that we look out for and remember negative things more easily than positive things - which from a survival standpoint makes sense, you want to remember where the tiger sleeps so that you can avoid it.
But when we’re no longer being chased by tigers or hunting woolly mammoths, this is an issue.
It means our paradigm is heavily biased toward negativity.
It’s going to value and give more weight to the negative experiences that we have, forming limiting beliefs and influencing our actions in a way that holds us back.
What you have to understand is that until you remove these limiting beliefs from your paradigm, you’re always going to be holding yourself back and living life from a skewed perspective that doesn’t get you the results you want.
And so, there’s 1 thing that you can learn that will completely change your life:
